There are three problems encountered by small businesses face when trying to play in the local search marketing strategy. One is the Name- Address- Phone Number (NAP) detail, which is basically having your contact details updated. Having a different addresses and phone numbers tied to your enterprise is a huge problem. Remember to neatly organize your business details for every location you have. After doing so, make sure that when you do a setup with the major search engines, you use the exact address and phone number that is listed on your previous web page so that it will be recognized by the search page.

Second problem dealt with local search marketing is the Citations. Citations are external pages that reference your exact business contact details. They serve as credibility factors which helps your page rise above the other pages. The more you publicize your page, the more it will rank first on local searches. Third problem dealt with is Reviews. Published reviews only mean that consumers have trust on your services. Therefore, it plays a big part on future customers. Once honesty in the proprietor’s part is given and the consumer is satisfied, a review will be posted. You may ask for reviews after they try the product, or via email. Making people read your reviews will surely put your business on top of the search results.
